The midwife referral service has been available since January 2022. thanks to the funding programme “Geburtshilfe in Bayern” (Midwifery in Bavaria). This initiative aims to enhance midwifery care and strengthen the support for pregnant women and recent mothers in the city and district of Würzburg.
About us
Hello, my name is Caro Grimmer and I have been providing care and support to families during pregnancy, the postpartum period, and breastfeeding since 2005. I still enjoy it today as I did when I first started. Being a midwife is truly exciting, and it's always heart-warming to witness how children and their parents get to know and used to each other.
After my training at the University Women's Hospital here in Würzburg, I gained valuable experience in obstetrics and on maternity wards. In addition, birth preparation, baby swimming and baby massage, as well as regression courses and kinesiology tape have added an exciting dimension to my daily routine. Now a new challenge has emerged and I hope to be able to support many of you in your search for the right midwife.
Hello, my name is Elke Hörning. I've been responsible for the administration at the state-approved pregnancy counselling office in the Protestant Counselling Centre of the Diakonisches Werk Würzburg since 2005. In our pregnancy counselling work, we are often faced with the challenge of finding a midwife, which has become increasingly difficult. Therefore, I am happy to offer my support in finding a midwife.
